Shawnee Hills Lavender Farm

Recently I visited a local lavender farm with my family. Shawnee Hills Lavender Farm is located in Cobden, IL, and it is a definite must-see if you are traveling through the area during their harvesting time.
Almost immediately after exiting our car, I felt any tension release from the relaxing scent lingering in the air. We picked our own lavender bundles, shopped their cute lavender store, and sipped on tasty lavender lemonade. It is a unique experience tucked away in the hills of Southern Illinois.
One reason for this visit was my Aunt Sharon was home from California, and we enjoy going on little day trips while she's here. Sharon is a multi-talented photographer (who happened to snap the above photos) and is based out of Victorville, California. She specializes in portrait experiences for H.S.
